Teacher evaluation and observation is a major facet of a school administrator's duties. It is vital that an administrator take these classroom observations seriously and that they spend as much time as possible doing this, so as to gain an accurate picture of what is going on in the classroom. Every school administrator should have some sort of philosophy in place in how they are going to handle the teacher evaluation process. Our job is to put effective teachers into the classroom and to provide improvement opportunities for those who need it.
