With only five states at this time choosing not to adopt the Common Core Standards, the impacts will be significant across the United States. As schools prepare for full implementation in 2014-2015, there are a variety of subgroups that will be significantly impacted by the CCSS. Virtually every American will be affected in some way by the Common Core Standards. Administrators, teachers, and students are the three most affected subgroups, but parents, specialists, politicians, higher education, and community members will be affected as well. As these groups prepare for implementation, it is important that all players work together and share concerns and ideas that will benefit the students who matter most.
