The superintendent of schools should be the unquestioned leader of their school district. Every superintendent has a large variety of roles that they must fill if they are going to be successful. Successful school districts have successful superintendents that lead by example. It is a difficult job that requires lots of time, dedication, and an ability to make difficult decisions with the best interest of the district in mind. There is no specific blue print for a superintendent to follow. Each situation is unique and a superintendent must be able to adapt to those unique situations.
