As a principal, it is necessary to establish a sense of community within and around your building site. A sense of community will promote growth among all members of your school community which includes administrators, teachers, support staff, students, parents, businesses, and all tax payers within the district. It is beneficial to include every aspect of a community within the daily school life. Too many times we only focus on the community inside the building, when the outside community has many positive rewards that they can offer that will benefit you, your teachers, and your students. It is necessary to implement strategies to use outside resources for your school to be successful. It is essential to have such strategies in place to make sure that the entire community is involved with the education of your students.
